Architecture Series 06 / Architecture & Film 1/2

07 · 02 · 2025

Instead of looking at “perfect acts of architecture” in films, used to enhance utopian/dystopian futures and altered realities, this presentation / discussion focuses on the way the architect is portrayed in various films. From the plotting mastermind to the fragile figure and from a self-inflicting torture through one’s artistic and life journey which very often coincide in the architect’s life.

Films:  The Matrix,  Inception,  High Rise,  The Belly of an Architect.

All the above films discuss the nature of the architect’s mind, the way he thinks, the process and the “torment/joy” of the development of a work of architecture
